There is a small change whereby the north indicator button has been replaced with a "take me to my current location" button in planning mode only. Its previous behaviour (rotating the map by 90 degrees) was not very useful. All known issues with the new What's He‌re‌ functionality are also fixed.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 8.1K, Visits: 9.4K	Yes, underlying improvements in the Android SDK and our build tools along with some of our own optimizations led to several users reporting that 3.8 performed faster during its beta cycle. 3.8.1 is a different build though, which is what this thread is about.‌‌

R Group: Forum Members Posts: 25, Visits: 31	Tim - I am running 3.8.0.18997. This seems to be running much faster on my entry level Lenovo Tab3 8inch tablet (which cost appx £70). In particular, the drawing time as I move and zoom the chart when planning and flying seems to be much improved. Was this expected/planned in this release? Main reason for posting is to provide feedback. Many Thanks.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 8.1K, Visits: 9.4K	The first beta of 3.8.1 has been posted, which fixes a couple of display bugs in the What's Here menu and adds graphical representation for TAF, METAR, GAFOR and wind aloft symbols when they're under the finger and What's Here is displayed.
